Bioveg is a company that has been incorporated to act as the holding company for HLC Environmental Holdings Ltd. Biofuels interests. At the present time there is one associated company operating in the Biofuels sector: BIOVASF - CIA. DE BIODIESEL DO VALE DE SÄO FRANCISCO, SA.
BIOVASF was formed after HLC Brasil, a company of the HLC Group, decided at the end of 2006, to make the acquisition of some assets in the Sao Francisco Valley in Pernanmbuco State – Sao Francisco, Brazil.
These assets comprise 43 hectares of land facing the river with two crushing mills, one 100,000 ton soybean crushing mill and one 60,000 ton castor crushing mill, as well as storage facilities and leading station in Barreiras on the Säo Francisco river front supplying the soybean crusher via barges. These plants are being refurbished and will start operating simultaneously with 2010’s crop season.
