HLC EH Energy Sector Highlights

Biomass:

• 10 MW Wood Chip Biomass Power Plant in Piratini, State of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil
• 8 MW Rice Husk Biomass Power Plant, Brazil
• 33 MW Elephant Grass Biomass Power Plant, Brazil

Emergency Power:

• 82 container units of 2.2 MW each, installed in 6 different sites in the State of Ceara, Brazil, of which, the smallest site has 5 MW and the largest 20 MW, erected in 3 months, totalling circa 127 MW. These units were subsequently transferred to three sites in Manaus

Gas:

• Introduction of Natural Gas in Portugal
• 1,000 MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) Power Plant at Tapada do Outeiro (Turbogas)

Small Hydro:

• 2 x 500 KW Hydro Plants in Manchester Ship Canal
• REAL – Renewable Energy Associates Ltd.

Waste to Energy (WtE):

• 4 MW Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) Power Plant at Neath Port, Wales, comprising a fully integrated Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) Plant (180,000 t/year)
• 5 MW Sludgecake to Energy at Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) in Frielas, Portugal
• 850 KW Biogas Energy Production at Coimbra Landfill, Portugal

Wind:

• 220 MW SIIF do Brasil – 6 Wind Farm Projects
